Shortlist for 2010 Huggability Award unveiled

After weeks of frenzied online nominations, the shortlist has been unveiled. Ovation’s most huggable person of 2010 will be presented with their 'huggability' award on Ovation Global stand G700 at EIBTM next Wednesday, December 1st at 11am. In no particular order, here is the shortlist of this year's oh so huggable nominees.......

For being the ‘’beating human heart’’ of beautiful Hungary. Dora is much-admired in the industry for “never losing her excellent sense of humour” and for “never saying no”.

For flying all the way from Chicago during her busy work schedule to address the recent Ovation Global summit in Prague, plus she’s got a fabulous sense of humour.

For bringing passion, enthusiasm and optimism to everything he does, for hugging everyone but most of all for putting a human face on our industry with a great CSR project the IMEX challenge.

A hard working professional who stands out from the crowd and models perfectly that Ritz Carlton value of being a "gentleman". Upon learning of his nomination Ken vowed to be “an even greater pain in the ass" to all his peeps in Ovation”

She deserves a big hug for her constant effort to improve the profile of the meetings industry and for having teddy bear eyes! Kerstin has been described as “simply a wonderful, kind and caring person”.

Krzysztof Celuch (Convention Bureau Poland)

Krzysztof showed huge initiative and drive to organise the 2010 IMEX Challenge in Warsaw, recruiting volunteers from all across the globe. He is very proactive and positive when hunting business for Poland.

Laurie Sprouse (Ultimate Ventures)

Laurie has had quite a year being named both DMC Professional of the Year by ADME and Site's first-ever Master Motivator for her legislative efforts on behalf of Texas DMCs.

Paul is a favourite customer of many professionals in the meetings and events Industry and it's not hard to tell why: decency, fairness, charm, friendliness, creativity and sheer, unadulterated fun are 6 reasons, just for starters.
