listed as top contender for ‘pharma’ business in 2010

In a recent study carried out by C & IT magazine, Ovation Global DMC was listed among an elite group of specialist pharmaceutical agencies that C & IT predict will organise the bulk of the European events and meetings for the largest global pharmaceutical companies in 2010 and beyond.
The article examines the changes taking place within the pharmaceutical industry as increased regulation and procurement begins to limit the scope for smaller and less experienced agencies to acquire pharmaceutical business. Leanne Bell of C & IT reports that these new regulations ‘have enabled an elite group of large and specialist agencies to tighten their grip on the sector, making it more difficult than ever for those with little experience to gain a foothold.’ This is down to the fact that with increased procurement and regulations, many pharmaceutical companies are now formalising relationships with agencies. This has led to a proliferation of preferred supplier rosters and clients increasingly viewing agencies as partners because "they now need them to understand the regulations unique to each country that govern events."
